Show & Tell Friday: My Doll Collection

For Show & Tell this Friday I'm posting a few of my favorites in my doll collection.
As some of my readers may know, I have been designing and making collectible mohair teddy bears for over 20 years under my company name of "Just Wee Bears".
Well, while selling at bear shows all over the U.S., I became enamoured of dolls from a doll maker from Australia. Lucky for me, she also fell in love with my bears and so we decided to trade at almost every show we met.....and voila', I had a doll collection that I love.
The larger of the two dolls pictured in this first photo was my first trade and I still love her face the absolute best!
Please take a look at the other wonderful participants at Cindy's My Romantic Home.

As always, I LOVE your comments!
Have an enjoyable weekend.

Hello Lenore,
What a beautiful collection this is!
Last Spring we travelled by car to Munich. There is a toy museum there and I saw for the first time from so close this kind of doll. They were antique, mostly 19th century dolls, so quite old, but still so much alive, and none of them was identical.

Don't you just love the expression on their faces? Can you imagine the labor, love and care that went into each one of them? I must post a couple of pictures I took of those ever young ladies. I shall let you know when I do.

i loved braowsing through your Etsy store this morning.

Wishing you a joyful, creative weekend.

Well, you can't beat that deal of trading. It's a win,win stituation for the both of you. I still have some of my favorite dolls from childhood that I wouldn't even allow my daughter or neice to play with. I'm saving them for grandkids to hold on to. They're in mint condition. I've got to go see these teddys next. I love bears!

Be sure to stop by & take time to browse. Click the "Follow" button so we can inspire each other.
