Mosiac Monday: Vintage Photos

Mosaic Monday is here again and I'm posting some very vintage photos of Mr AVO's family.
Please check out Mary's Little Red House for more lovely mosaics.
The photo on the top is Mr AVO's paternal 2nd great grandparents......they were quite well known Quakers, the little girl is their daughter.....Mr. AVO's 1st great grandmother.
The bottom photo is his paternal 3rd Great Grandparents and I'm guessing the photo is from somewhere in the 1880's.

Thanks for stopping by today for a visit.....all your lovely comments are greatly appreciated!
I will not be posting for a few weeks as I will be out of town on a family vacation and I get to do some genealogy things on this vacation too.....I'm sure I'll have LOTS of photos to share with you with I return.

I always love to look at old photos. The one thing that stands out is all the clothes they wore when it was really hot in the summer.

Hi Lenore! Oh, what a lovely mosaic. I too love these olden photos! Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could just sit down with us and tell us their stories?

Wonderful photos. I am in the process of scanning old family pictures into the computer.

I never thought of making mosaics with them. Great idea.

Very nice composition with the old photos. I'm on the same page with an old family album from the late 1800's. It's such a fun and rewarding task to get them recorded for future generations. Your mosaic is a treasure.

I can see why you are obsessed with vintage things. It's very moving. I love the pictures of my grand parents too, and thinking I should revamp them in different frames. Happy Monday.

Good luck on your quest. I love these kinds of vacation. I love genealogy, but it is my mother who does all the hard work. I love your picture of your grandparents.

Hello Lenore,
Your mosaics are always wonderful to see!
I hope you enjoy your vacation and discover more in your genealogy search. My twin brother just recently started "the great seach" and has followed our family history back to the 1600s... such a wonderful thing to know more about our family.
Enjoy,
Zuzu
